Geometric Design

The origin of the word geometry is “measuring the earth.” 

Throughout history, great civilizations have recognized that the patterns we find in the world mirror the structure of our own psyche, and the patterns that arise at all scales of the cosmos reflect the perfections of whatever force created it all. 

I follow the ancient practice of geometry, using only a compass and straightedge to trace the fundamental shapes, numbers and patterns. Once a design piques my interest I’ll keep drawing it for days, weeks or years. Occasionally I land on a design that resonates with how Nature herself designs things.
